The Gulag: Liquidation, Part 1

The Soviet Prison and Labor System

The Gulag (Chief Administration of Corrective Labor Camps) was a network of labor camps and prisons spread throughout the Soviet union. Between 1918 and 1956, 1.2 to 1.7 million people would die within the camp system. In today's episode, I discuss Karl Marx and provide an ideological foundation for the Gulag system.

This is part one of a multiple part series. I plan on releasing shorter episodes in more digestible chunks, and, after they have all been released, adding them all together to form one long episode.
